A Salad for the Season

A lovely summer salad that’s packed with flavour.

Serves 6-8

Recipe Ingredients
  • 2 SPAR freshline mangoes
  • 1 packet SPAR freshline Seasons Value Salad
  • 1 SPAR freshline cucumber, sliced
  • ½ SPAR freshline red onion, thinly sliced
  • 80g SPAR Tender & Tasty biltong, sliced
  • 100g Marksbury Select Cheese Danish Blue
  • SPAR Signature Selection Garlic and Herb Vinaigrette

Recipe Method
  1. Peel, slice and cube the mango.
  2. Scatter the salad leaves over a platter and arrange the mango, cucumber and onion slices amongst the leaves.
  3. Top with the sliced biltong and crumble the blue cheese over.
  4. Drizzle with the dressing just before serving.

Hints And Tips

  • Add sliced blanched green beans, rocket or watercress.
  • Blanch the red onion to reduce some of the sharpness.
  • Substitute the mango with figs or nectarines.
